i used to do this thing where every so often i’d rewatch the ending of mother 3 and i decided i’d do that again i. i hurt

I've replayed the game's story about fifteen times now and this ending never fails to make me cry. Mother 3 is one of my favorite games because I can relate to what the characters are going through. The "Love Theme" is enough to make the tears well up.

Something that I don't think many consider is that it's possible that Hinawa and Claus were revived after the Dark Dragon awoke and restored all, we know that everyone is alright, that could also mean that Claus and Hinawa are alright, it's up to interpretation, but it is possible. This ending is amazing.

Looking back at choreograph mode, it was a kinda failed attempt to replicate what Just Dance did. But it sparked it’s own unique play style and is why it’s not really a Just Dance rip off, but rather a competent competitor. Well done, Konami. Even if the motion controls were stupid, it was fun, and that makes it worth it.

YOU COULD MOVE THE "END" THING?

I just finished the game recently, and honestly, I feel sad that I finished the game. I actually had fun playing this game from the beginning to end. from having a happy normal life to a silly and deep adventure that ends with a sad ending. the fact that everyone thanks you and good bye you and hoping to meet again it feels hard since the game never localized outside from japan, I really do hope to meet them again in the future, even if the game never gets released or a remake.

This whole last battle is just remarkably f'd up on all fronts. A boy forced to fight for his life against his brother, a boy forced into a killing machine by another boy who basically thought he was playing with toys in a toybox.

Mother is definitely one of my favorites video games series, its goofy, weird and fun while managing to hit you right in the feelings

What a sad final battle, specially because you cannot hurt the enemy without feeling bad, and how it (intentionally?) has his beam reflected at the end... Although I liked more Giygas in Earthbound

You have to defend with Lucas alone. If you revive your allies, the masked man(Claus) will just use PK Love Omega to knock them back down in an instant, so don’t bother. Just boost Lucas’s defense, lower the masked man’s attack(don’t set up a normal or psi shield or he’ll dispel your shield and follow up with PK Love Omega)and heal as needed.

the ending is kind of pointless, you go through various bullshit to get porky & co god slapped for everything to be fine at leastbut in the end everything gets destroyed anyways.

The part that gets me the most is where the cast of characters are talking to you at the end. Not you the character, but you the player. The line that got me was “hey, other world? Be good to him” and I have no idea why, but I love this game to bits and always will
